WeLIFT Job Search Center uses appropriate services and tools to empower individual employment and work towards economic self sufficiency.
Our Purpose
We provides job readiness skills, community outreach through local resources, partnerships and self-empowerment towards employment and self-sufficiency. Our services primarily serve South Central Iowa and are free because of partnership with UnitedWay of Central Iowa and the many organizations and individuals that participate by donating in our annual Friends Campaign.
Programs
At WeLIFT, we’re here to support you on your journey to employment and greater independence. Whether you’re looking for your first job, re-entering the workforce, or working toward a new opportunity, you don’t have to do it alone.

We offer free, personalized services to help you build job readiness skills, strengthen your confidence, and connect with local resources. From resume and interview help to financial education, mentoring, and access to our public computer lab, our team is ready to walk alongside you every step of the way.

You have goals — and at WeLIFT, we’re here to help you reach them.
Supporting students and clients as they transition from high school to adulthood and the workforce — all at no cost to the school district or students.
WeLIFT extends its impact into the community through outreach programs like job skills training, de-escalation certification, financial education, youth mentoring, and on-site events and services that connect people with local resources.
WeLIFT’s Compassion Fund provides financial help to remove job barriers, while grants support youth internships, skills training, and expanded community resources.
